Description
Made up of five variations of the same flame from Apophysis, with slight variations on the size, rotation and position of the two triangles, using the default brightness and gamma settings.
They were then edited in Photoshop, and each of the flames has the same blends. A combination of two Multiplies and a Colour Dodge.

I love that montage idea - but those images are aching to be high quality renders. Smooth streams and less pixel evidence are what my eyes desire here.
Also, spending more time on choosing a good color gradient - and manipulating the gamma and such could be useful here too - but I do love the blue hues!!
